Sarah is a textile artist and designer living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Her work draws inspiration from traditional sewing passed down to her from her grandmother, who was a seamstress in her Nigerian village, and the quilt-making practices of African American quilters, to create tapestries made of recycled and vintage materials. These delicate works embody the power of possibility and channel her family’s ethos of form over function.
